Arriving at Cairo International Airport, you will be met and assisted by English speaking staff. You will be transferred to either Sheraton or Hilton, both five-star luxury hotels. Your tour will begin with the Pyramids of King Khufu, Sphinx, lunch in an oriental restaurant. Old Cairo – the hanging church and the place where Moses basket rested on the riverbank will be visited. Back to the hotel for refreshments and an early dinner. Watch the Opera Sound & Light show at the Pyramids, after this travel back and sleep overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast served at the hotel followed by a visit to the Egyptian museum and lunch at an oriental restaurant. The Citadel of King Mohammed Ali and the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar will be visited. You will spend the night at the hotel.
After breakfast which will be served at your hotel, you will travel from Cairo Airport to Aswan. In Aswan you will be met and assisted by English staff and your tour will begin. Starting with the Height Dam, a motorboat trip to Philae Temple, five-star cruise Deluxe and a delicious lunch. After dinner, you will watch a traditional Nubian show and spend the rest of your night on board. Breakfast served on board. At 10h00 your tour begins on the sailboat Felucca cruising on the Nile River followed by lunch. Sailing from Kom Ombo city while having tea- time on the sun deck. Once you arrive in Kom Ombo, sightseeing will be experienced. Back on board, a Galabai party (dress-up) will be thrown with traditional food and show.
Overnight will be spent in Edfu. Breakfast on board followed by a 2-hour horse carriage ride to Edfu Temple. After arriving in Luxor via cruise, you will visit Karnak Temple, watch a belly dancing show, have dinner and spend overnight on board. Early breakfast on board with a visit to the Valley of the Kings (King Tutankhamun Tomb – The Golden King), Valley of the Queens and Carter House, a Luxor City tour via horse and carriage and an overnight sleeper train to Cairo (including dinner & breakfast).
Early morning arrival in Cairo. From Giza station to Cairo International Airport for your flight to Casablanca. In Marrakesh, check into your four-star luxury hotel, depart for Essaouira (Chosen by Orsen Welles for his 1952 Othello film) which is a charming ancient Portuguese City on the Atlantic coast filled with colourful boats and fishing nets drying in the sun. This coast is exposed to a warm breeze all year round, sandy beaches, interesting rock pools and a hot spot for the surfers.
Lunch will be served in a small fish restaurant in the Old Town. Before returning to your overnight stay in the four-star Marrakesh hotel, you will visit the ex- Portuguese colonial town known as Safi (Highly recommended a visit to the Potters quarter).
After breakfast at the hotel, you will travel north along the Atlantic coast to El Jadida to see the Portuguese cisterns. Once in Casablanca, you will experience a mixture of contemporary architecture, Art deco and neo-Moorish styles. Eight story high palm trees lay in the boulevards, also in the area is the magnificent Hassan II Mosque (Morocco’s tallest structure) towers over the entire landscape. In the Imperial City of Rabat, you will visit the Mohammed V mausoleum, where the late King Hassan is buried alongside his father. You will visit the old ramparts, the Agadir, the stables, and one of the most beautiful cities in the Kingdom of Morocco – Bab El Mansour before having lunch. Next, you will visit Volubilis, with its impressive, well-preserved Roman ruins and mosaic.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will depart for Fez to explore this best living example of a medieval Arab city. From outside you will see the Karaouine Mosque and the Medersas. After experiencing the hustle and bustle of everyday life in the labyrinth of souls and tanneries, there will be photo stops at the imposing gate of Bab Boujloud, the ancient ramparts, the fountain at Place Nejjarine and the beautiful front entrance to the Royal Palace. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant followed by shopping and spending the evening in Fez.
From Fez you will travel south through the Cedar forests of Ifrane, the almost Alphine like ski resort in the middle of Atlas mountains. After which you shall continue through the fruit – growing region of Beni Mellal and stay overnight in Fez.
Arrive at O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg.
Departing from Madrid to Toledo, known as the city, to contain Spain’s most magnificent historical monuments. After driving to Andalucia, you will arrive in Cordoba where remnants of Spain’s Islamic, Jewish and Catholic heritages reside. You will spend the night in Madrid.
In the heart of Andalucia, you will continue through the groves and beautiful landscapes. You will arrive in one of Spain’s most exciting cities known as Seville, where you can experience bullfighting, flamenco music, beautiful parks, gardens and a relaxing atmosphere. You will spend the night in Seville.
Heading south towards the Mediterranean coastline, you will visit the charming town of Ronda Costa DE Sol, Granada and spend the night in Seville.
On your last day, you will depart for Madrid from Seville. From Madrid, you will catch a connecting flight to Cairo to catch your overnight flight to Johannesburg.
