Your European experience tour consists of three huge European cities and most definitely some of the greatest the continent has to offer. Each city you will visit is rich in history, architecture, culture and cuisine.

Istanbul, the central city in Turkey, is both exciting and fascinating, with a mixture of European and Asian culture wherever you look. Gorgeous Mosques, Churches and Monuments line the streets of this ever bustling and thriving city. Ancient and Modern meet at every corner and you will never be bored of walking the streets, exploring the sites or hustling in the many markets, Istanbul is a truly unique experience and most definitely one you will never forget.

How does one describe a visit to Rome, it is almost impossible. The sites are magical, almost unbelievable in their beauty and stature. The rich history and culture that is evident every step you take through this the magnificent city will keep you entertained and surprised every single step you take. Explore everything you can, take in every bit possible and make the city and your experiences your own.

Itinerary

Day 1

Meet at O.R. Tambo International Airport, three hours prior to departure. Complete the necessary formalities say goodbye to your family and friends, depart on your overnight flight to Istanbul.

Day 2

Arrive at Istanbul International Airport and transfer to the hotel where you will check-in. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure, later in the evening have dinner and overnight at the hotel in Istanbul.

Day 3

After breakfast, our tour guide will pick you up from the hotel to start your tour that begins at Ankara Airport (09:00 am) followed by a morning visit to the Museum of Anatolia Civilizations which is located in a resorted Bazaar. The museum has a unique and priceless collection dating back to the prehistoric era. Continue to Mausoleum of Ataturk. This magnificent structure serves as a tribute to the founder of modern Turkey. you will have lunch in Ankara before departing for Cappadocia, have dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 4

After early morning breakfast, you will depart from the local hotel (09:00 am – 10:00 am) and visit Devrent Valley to see the unique fairy – chimneys. Drive to Pasabagi (Monk’s Village) to see the most interesting mushroom-shaped pinnacles. In the afternoon, visit the Open Air Museum in Goreme where the remains of rock-cut churches and Christian settlements date back hundreds of years. To Kaymakli underground city, the place where early Christians hid from persecutors. Time for shopping for the well-known merits of the sea before returning to the hotel. Back to the hotel have dinner and spend you’re overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 5

After breakfast, our tour guide will pick you up from the hotel to start the day’s drive which will be relatively long and tiring due to the long distance between Cappadocia and Pamukkale and lack of convenient lodging locations. Drive to Konya, en-route visit the authentic Caravanserai of Sultanhan. Konya was the capital of the Selcuk Turks during the 13th century and is known for its theological school of “Whirling Dervishes”. Visit the Mevlana Museum. Continue to Pamukkale, known for its ‘cotton castles’ and mineral pools. Returns to the hotel have your dinner and overnight in Pamukkale.

Day 6

After breakfast, our tour guide will pick you up from the hotel whereby you will check and transfer to Greece where you will check-in at the hotel and start your lovely tour that includes an overview of the modern city with striking contrasts to the remains of its glorious past. Visit famous sites such as the tomb of the Unknown Soldier in front of Parliament House, the Panathenian Stadium (where the first modern Olympic Games were held in 1896), the Acropolis, the Parthenon and the Presidential Palace (ex Royal Palace). Return to the hotel have dinner and spend the night in Athens.

Day 7

After breakfast start, you’re full day in Delphi with lunch. Drive through Levadia and Arachova (famous for its bright multi coloured carpets) towards Delphi, the most famous oracle of ancient Greece. Visit the archaeological site and the Museum where one sees among other treasures, the unique bronze statue of the charioteer dedicated to Apollo by Polyzalos, the tyrant of Gela, in 478 B.C. Return to the hotel have your dinner overnight in Athens.

Day 8

After breakfast at the hotel, our tour guide will pick you up to start a lovely day. Enjoy a boat ride to the Island of Spinalonga, a small island with an exceptionally interesting history.
In 1903, Spinalonga developed into a gathering place for lepers from all over Crete. You will spend the rest of the day swimming followed by Delicious Greek lunch. After lunch, enjoy a short coffee break in the quiet, picturesque town of Agios Nikolaos. Return to the hotel after the tour to have your dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 9

After breakfast, you will depart from Greece to Spain. Arrive in Madrid and spend the night.

Day 10

Explore Madrid and its environs – This is the city of great monuments and is also known as the gateway to Spain, with its remarkable collection of museums and galleries.
This glamorous city has a wide variety of parks and gardens and offers a great nightlife. Spend the night in Madrid.

Day 11

Depart from Madrid to Toledo. This city is known to contain some of Spain’s most magnificent historical monuments. It is one of the very few medieval intact towns, inviting and picturesque. From Toledo and drive south into Andalucia, arrive in Cordoba.

Nowhere else are the remnants of Spain’s Islamic, Jewish and Catholic heritages so visibly intermixed as in Cordoba. It has enriched this city and left a definite mark on history. Spend the night in Madrid.

Day 12

Continue into the heart of Andalucia, through olive groves and beautiful landscapes. Arrive in Seville, one of the most exciting cities in Spain and is also known as the centre of tapas, bullfighting and flamenco music. The city is known for its beautiful parks, gardens and offers a very relaxing atmosphere. Spend the night in Seville.

Day 13

Breakfast at the hotel followed by departing from Seville to Madrid to depart to Johannesburg.

Day 14

Arrive at O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg and share all your wonderful experiences with family and friends.
